Casa Sanchez is a spectacular modern interpretation of the classic Pueblo-style Santa Fe residence, combining award-winning design, contemporary comfort, and an exceptional Historic Eastside location. Just a 10-minute walk from the historic Santa Fe Plaza and approximately five minutes from renowned Canyon Road, this distinctive home places guests within easy reach of some of the city’s best restaurants, museums, galleries, shops, and historic attractions.

Designed and constructed in 2010 by Scott Wong of Solterra Home Design, Casa Sanchez was recognized on a Santa Fe home tour with awards for Best Kitchen, Best Use of Natural Light, and Green Design. Throughout the 2,748-square-foot residence, abundant skylights and upper clerestory windows bring Santa Fe’s brilliant natural light and blue skies indoors, creating bright, airy spaces and a relaxed sense of connection to the high-desert surroundings.

The spacious open-concept living and dining areas feature high ceilings with exposed beams, hardwood floors, and recently updated furnishings. Thoughtful architectural details, including antique Mexican interior doors and luxurious finishes, add warmth and character while complementing the home’s clean, contemporary design.

At the heart of Casa Sanchez is its award-winning chef’s kitchen, beautifully appointed with white marble countertops, reclaimed wood shelving, modern appliances, and everything needed for food and beverage preparation. French doors throughout the home open onto inviting patios, extending the living spaces outdoors and embracing Santa Fe’s celebrated indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Two additional enclosed patio areas are directly accessible from guest bedrooms, offering even more private outdoor space.

Casa Sanchez features four spacious bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The large primary suite includes a king-size bed beneath a skylight, a walk-in closet, and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a soaking spa tub and skylighted shower.

Two additional guest bedrooms on the main floor each feature a queen-size bed and their own full bathroom, providing comfort and privacy for guests.

Downstairs, separate guest quarters with their own entrance provide an additional level of privacy. This spacious area includes two queen-size beds, a full bathroom, and a work area with a table and chairs. With one king and four queen beds throughout the property, Casa Sanchez comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests.

The home also showcases the owner’s private collection of original Southwestern art and sculpture by Santa Fe and Austin artists, thoughtfully displayed throughout the interiors and grounds. A gated courtyard entrance surrounded by adobe walls adds classic Southwestern beauty while enhancing the home’s sense of privacy and seclusion.

Entertainment and connectivity are well covered with a wall-mounted 55-inch Sony Bravia HD Smart TV, an Xfinity 220-channel cable package including HBO, a Sonos sound system, and fast 1-gig Xfinity Wi-Fi. The home is also air-conditioned for added comfort throughout the warmer months.

Additional conveniences include a laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer and off-street parking for up to three vehicles. Kaune’s Neighborhood Market is just a short walk away, making it easy to pick up fresh food, beverages, and other essentials to enjoy at home.

"We look forward to being there again in May. The team was very responsive. It took a while to get the wood lighted in the fireplace as it was wet. We also did not have any fire starters (they were not at the house). We had to call to get fire starters, call about the difficulty with the wet wood, call about the difficulty in turning on the cold water in one bathroom, call about no hot water. In all cases, the staff was friendly and responsive.

We enjoyed Casa Sanchez which is on a quiet street and very private once through the gate. For 2 or 3 couples it is a perfect space and you cannot beat the location! We have rented many houses in Santa Fe and this was one of our favorite. We will visit Casa Sanchez again, hopefully very soon!
Very friendly and responsive to our initial needs, once we were settled everything was handled electronically and seamless.
