Casa Don Miguel is a distinctive Santa Fe retreat located in the historic Acequia Madre neighborhood, offering an authentic connection to the city’s rich architectural heritage and timeless Southwestern character. Comprised of a three-bedroom main house and a separate one-bedroom private casita, the property provides approximately 2,200 square feet of combined living space and is an excellent choice for families, friends, or groups seeking both shared gathering spaces and additional privacy.

The main house showcases traditional adobe-style architecture and classic Santa Fe details throughout. Exposed vigas, warm finishes, soft textures, and inviting living spaces create a comfortable atmosphere that feels deeply connected to Northern New Mexico.

The main house features three bedrooms thoughtfully arranged across two levels. On the first floor, one bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, while the second offers two twin beds. Upstairs, the spacious primary bedroom features another king-size bed and provides a private retreat with a portable air-conditioning unit for added comfort.

Large windows bring in natural light and open the home to its beautiful surroundings. Step outside to the patio and take in sweeping views of both the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. As evening arrives, the scenery transforms with views of Santa Fe’s city lights, creating a memorable setting for relaxing and enjoying the high-desert landscape.

Adding to the versatility of the property is a separate one-bedroom guest casita, ideal for guests who appreciate additional space and privacy while still being close to the rest of their group. The casita features a king-size bed and, like the main residence, embraces traditional Pueblo-style architecture with adobe construction, softly rounded edges, and earthy tones that reflect the enduring design traditions of the Southwest.

In total, Casa Don Miguel offers three king-size beds and two twin beds: one king and two twins on the first floor of the main house, one king upstairs in the main house, and one king in the separate guest casita.

Both the main house and casita are equipped with evaporative cooling systems. For the systems to operate effectively, windows should be left slightly open to allow for proper airflow. The upstairs primary bedroom in the main house also includes a portable A/C unit for additional cooling.

All of our needs and expectations were met during our recent stay at Casa Don Miguel. Within walking distance to Canyon Road, the house was perfectly situated for sightseeing, shopping, and exploring Santa Fe and its surrounding areas. The house itself came fully stocked with everything we needed to live comfortably – for sleeping, cooking, relaxing, and even entertaining friends and family. The guesthouse was perfect for my elderly parents, allowing everyone privacy and independence. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Casa Don Miguel!
Prior to our trip, I had a few questions and the office staff were friendly, knowledgable, and helpful.
